Controls and Building Automation global controls products for our building automation business and distribution (sales and operations) in North America (including Canada). Responsible for sales of controls services, linkage and controls service agreements. Lead operations staff, including technicians and project managers. Enable development through identification of career paths for such roles.Intelligent cloud-based Services Define global digital platform for intelligent services offerings and distribution (sales and operations) in North America (including Canada). Identify and ensure standard work for distribution in this area.Energy Contracting North America (including Canada) responsibility for sales and operation of performance contracting and turnkey businesses.Digital Strategies - Our work done on Connected Equipment has validated a need to pursue three digital planks, and the incumbent will need to partner with key constituents, internally and externally (including globally) to execute flawlessly on these:Contractor Cloud-Enabled Services - lead the creation and delivery of a connected unitary system and cloud platform for contractors;Self-Optimizing Services - determine appropriate investments in automation and analytics to create self-optimizing systems; andBuildings as a Resource - partner with utilities to offer buildings as a resource solutions.Executing a program against all three of these businesses and all three digital planks is a multi-year journey and will require multi-million dollar investments, excluding M&A activity. As M&A activity is critical, the incumbent must be able to identify partnerships and potentially explore competitive pilots with outside software partners to accelerate results. As such, he/she will design and build an organization with the right capabilities to deliver, manage these external partnerships, rapidly build prototypes, execute pilots and scale successful business models.Reporting to the SBU President, HVAC NA/EMEA, he/she will be a member of the SBU leadership team.The overall responsibilities include, but not limited to:Defining and building an energy services, controls and digital organization, with the right capabilities to deliver; leading the team, directly or indirectly;Partnering with key constituents, internally and externally, to develop future business models that could be monetized by the company and which would enable the pursuit of our digital planks identified;Identifying market segmentation, offer characteristics and go-to-market strategyUtilizing standard work from the Business Operating System to create market segmentation and customer value proposition for products, services, systems and digital offeringsDeveloping and bringing to market advanced HVAC technologies, services and control algorithms that recognize and leverage the benefits of a smart HVAC system, with latest technologyEstablishing budget and P&L for the business in this areaIdentifying and establishing external partnerships required and collaborating accordingly to complement intellectual property for such solutions;Creating and executing marketing and commercialization plans for connected equipment and digital;Partnering with regional sales and distribution organizations within our SBU to create and implement market activation plan;Represent our SBU digital strategies in broader enterprise discussions with SBU presidentsDeveloping and implementing distribution, and pricing strategies and programs for connected equipment, including tiered value-added offeringsInteracting with engineering, supply chain and manufacturing to ensure product design, quality and profitability goals are met. More than 15 years of HVAC experience, with several years in leadership positions in a complex environment, and a track record of personal achievement and advancement;Minimum of five years experience and track record of success in strategy creation, energy contracting, intelligent services and controlsProven demonstrated visionary leadership of large organization, with ability to inspire/motivate others towards that vision;Knowledge of Trane products, services, contracting, controls, Trane Intelligent Services, etc.Proven success leading cross-functional efforts and balancing priorities;Ability to innovate and create necessary external partnerships to create solutions that serve the customerUnderstanding of energy efficiency and relevant technology advancements and implications
